The rain pattered, and the hail clattered, but I was snug and safe inside my cocoon.
 Through the water-spotted cocoon walls, I could see the elk munching and leaving doggie treats in the field.

In the little blue cups, which are recycled from my coffee maker, are pepper seeds:  Bell/sweet, jalapeno, and hot variety. They will live full-time in the Hawthouse along with the tomatoes, and someday, we hope, will turn into salsa. The Big Guy likes salsa.
