The rain pattered, and the hail clattered, but I was snug and safe inside my cocoon.
Through the water-spotted cocoon walls, I could see the elk munching and leaving doggie treats in the field.
In the little blue cups, which are recycled from my coffee maker, are pepper seeds: Bell/sweet, jalapeno, and hot variety. They will live full-time in the Hawthouse along with the tomatoes, and someday, we hope, will turn into salsa. The Big Guy likes salsa.
In the peat pots (actually made in Ireland, I was charmed to discover) we have two kinds of basil and purple kohlrabi.
